Testing an installed CEM rack
After finishing installation, use this procedure to perform a functional check.
Note: Go over the Sensor Delta installation checklist on the previous page
before energizing the rack.
1. Make sure power is disconnected at the main circuit breaker or at the
disconnect switches in the Auxiliary Bay.
2. Set all the load circuit breakers in the Auxiliary Bay to Off.
3. Open the Module bay door and release the module safety stops (See
Releasing and securing module safety stops on page 11).
4. Remove the CEM and set the test switch to TEST (See Figure 36).

5. Replace the CEM, reset the module safety stops and close the door.
6. Apply power at the main circuit breaker
Warning! – High voltage is present inside the rack during this procedure.
7. Observe the rack for obvious faults:
The Sensor beacon lit or flashing (a dark beacon is normal for Test)
Any indication of shorting or burning from rack components
Push the switch to the inside
to turn the dimmer Off
Push the switch to the outside
to turn the dimmer On
With the test switch on TEST, all dimmers drive to full
output. Your power supply may not have enough capacity to
operate the rack at full output. To avoid tripping your main
circuit breakers, set all dimmer circuit breakers in the
Auxiliary Bay to Off before applying power. (Step 2)
Do not remove rack modules after applying power.
