Installing conduit and cables
After planning your network, pull your data cables and accessory wires.
Note: ETC recommends installing network cables in grounded metal conduit.
1. Install data conduit and backboxes according to local electrical codes.
Note: Do not run DMX512 or ETCLink networks in the same conduit as load
or line power wiring.
2. Pull your data cables and ETCLink accessory wires. Leave a 20 inch (50cm)
loop of extra cable at each backbox where you plan to make a network
connection.
Note: DMX512 and ETCLink use the same type of cable. Make sure all wire
runs are labeled to avoid cross-connecting your networks.
