Module bay supplemental internal fault protection

In Delta dimmer modules, located in the module bay on the left side of the
rack, the standard dual single-pole module circuit breakers are replaced by a
single-pole internal fault protection breaker.
The fault protection breaker's only function is to protect against internal rack
faults. It will not trip due to load circuit faults. Unlike the circuit breakers on
standard Sensor dimmer modules, the internal fault breaker cannot be used to
manually turn off voltage to the load circuit, and will spring back to On position
if manually set to Off .
Single pole internal fault
protection breaker
If a fault protection breaker trips, you need to check the internal rack wiring for
the affected circuit and correct any faults before resetting the breaker.
1. Turn off all main power disconnect switches or turn off power to the rack
at the main circuit breaker.
2. Remove the tripped module and check it for wiring faults. If you locate a
module wiring fault, you will need to correct it or replace the module.
3. If there are no defects in the module wiring, check the tripped circuit's
internal rack wiring. You may need to remove other dimmer modules to
get access.
If you fix or cannot find a wiring problem
1. Reset the dimmer modules internal breaker by pushing the tab to the left
with a small non-metallic object.
2. Reinsert the dimmer module(s) and apply rack power.
3. Operate the lighting system and observe the rack for faults.
