Sensor Delta Dimming Installation Guide

Securing floor-standing SR48D racks

Floor-standing SR48D racks must be bolted to a wall for stability. For greater
stability, you can also add floor-mounted securing hardware.
Note: Installing securing hardware in the SR48D floor mounting holes does
not eliminate the requirement for bolting the rack to the wall.
1. Use Figure 10 to decide how to position your rack.
Note: You can ignore the 6 inch (15cm) door clearance when installing
Sensor Delta racks side by side. They are designed not to cause door
interference.
2. (Optional) Use Figure 11 to position floor mounted securing hardware.
3. Drill holes for mounting hardware through the back of your rack enclosure.
Note: Varying installation conditions make factory-placed mounting holes
impractical. Drill at least two 3/8 inch (10mm) holes in the upper third
of both the module and auxiliary bay. All holes must have a minimum
of one inch (2.5cm) of clearance from power connections or bus bars.
4. Move the rack into position and level it using the leveling feet.
5. Mark the locations for your securing hardware on the wall. You must
provide your own 3/8 inch (10mm) securing hardware.
6. Move the rack out of the way and attach your securing hardware to the
wall and (optional) floor.
7. Fasten the rack to the wall and (optional) floor with the securing hardware.
