Vibration fitting option for wall-mounted racks

Vibration damping fittings are available as an option for wall mounted racks
(SR12D and SR24D). The wall must be strong enough to hold the racks. See
Appendix A: Sensor Delta specifications on page 32 for rack and module
weights.
1. Mark the hole locations on the wall from Figure 9 : Sensor Delta rack wall
mount hole diagrams on page 12.
Note: ETC's wall mount vibration pads (Part # HW6111) attach to racks with
lag bolts that are slightly larger than the top of the keyhole slots. The
bolt works fine installed in the lower portion of the slot, but the rack
will mount 1/2 inch (1.2cm) higher than the diagram indicates.
2. Align the center of the fitting over the hole locations from the diagram.
Mark the position for two fitting bolts for each vibration pad (the middle
holes are recommended).
3. Drill the holes and secure the fittings to the wall. You must supply your
own 7/16 inch (12mm) mounting hardware (lag bolts recommended).
4. Remove the included lag bolt and washer from each vibration fitting.
5. Position the rack on the wall so the centers of the vibration fittings align
with the wall mounting slots.
6. Secure the rack to its vibration fittings with the lag bolts and washer.

Vibration fitting option for floor-standing racks (SR48D)

SR48D racks can be floor mounted on optional vibration damping fittings.
1. Determine where your rack will be installed using Figure 10 : Floor
mounted rack clearances on page 13.
Note: Ignore the 6 inch (15cm) door clearance between Sensor racks
installed together. They are designed not to cause door interference.
2. Use the appropriate diagram from Figure 11 : SR48D floor mount hole
diagrams on page 13 to mark your hole locations.
3. Align the center of the vibration fitting over the hole locations from the
diagram. Mark the positions for two bolts for each vibration pad.
4. Drill the holes and secure the pads to the floor. You must supply your own
11/32 inch (9mm) mounting hardware (lag bolts recommended).
5. Remove the included 3/8 inch lag bolt and washer from each vibration pad.
6. Position the rack on the pads so the center holes of the pads align with
the mounting holes in the base of the rack.
7. Secure the rack to a wall.
Follow instructions from Securing floor-standing SR48D racks on page
13 to drill holes in the back of the rack for wall mounting.
Mount the rack to the wall using the procedure from Vibration fitting
option for wall-mounted racks , above. You will have to mark the hole
locations directly from the rack (Step 1).
Caution
Floor standing racks on vibration pads must be secured to a
wall or other stabilizing structure, even if the vibration pads
are bolted to the floor.
8. Secure the rack to the pads with the lag bolts.
