k. DISABLE DISPENSER AFTER TRANSACTION. Repeat for multiple FMUs. Note any
deviations on page 5.
1) Each FMU disabled the applicable dispensers connected to it within the specified
time limits after dispensing was complete. Verification that PUMP FINISH TIMER is
functioning according to its setting to terminate the transaction. Only necessary to
perform this check on one hose.
2) If a solenoid valve is not installed, verify fuel stops flowing when the transaction is
ended by squeezing the nozzle trigger after the pump handle switch is turned off.
Fuel should not flow. Verification that valve isn't needed to stop fuel flow. Depending
upon tank location and plumbing, siphon effect could apply suction to fuel to allow it to
pass through suction pump.

PROTECT DATA DURING POWER FAILURE. Repeat for multiple FMUs. Note any
deviations on page 5.
1) In automatic mode, when power was removed from each FMU the applicable
dispensers connected to that FMU were disabled. Verification that FMU (in auto)
interrupts fuel flow. Will make no difference if power is removed when in manual mode.
2) Transactions in progress during power failure were recorded. No transaction data
was lost. Could indicate a bad backup battery on FMU mainboard. If power is removed,
backup battery should retain transactions and configuration information.
3) When power was restored to each FMU the applicable dispensers connected to
that FMU did not activate without initiating a new transaction. Verification that relays
release when power is removed, and do not re-activate when power is reapplied.
4) Manual intervention was not required to bring the system to full operation after
power failure. FMU should initialize to prompt "INSERT KEY OR CARD TO BEGIN"
when power is turned on.
m. PRICING. Repeat for multiple FMUs. Note any deviations on page 5. (NOTE: Syn-Tech
does not enter or change pricing for customers without their concurrence/approval,
and a written request.)
1) Check
all price levels stored at the FMU. Individual products and tanks can be
configured for different price levels. Verify price levels stored at FMU match prices as
requested by customer.
2) If PRINT DOLLAR FOR PROKEE RECEIPTS is turned on verify that the price on the
receipt is correct. Run a Prokee
price per gallon.
3) If credit card, run a few transactions verify pricing and functionality. Self-
explanatory. NOTE: credit card will be billed for amount of transaction.
n. DISCOUNT CREDIT CARDS. Repeat for multiple FMUs. Note any deviations on page 5.
1) Set up a discount credit card in software and send to FMU. Mark NA if not used.
Verifies software and firmware are set up correctly for customer.
2) Run a test transaction and verify that proper price level appear. Mark NA if not used.

o. PREPAID CARDS/KEYS. Repeat for multiple FMUs. Note any deviations on page 5.
1) Set up a pre-paid record in the software, encode and send it to the FMU. Mark NA if
not used. Verifies software and firmware are set up correctly for customer.
2) Run a test transaction and verify functionality. Mark NA if not used. Verifies prepaid
card/key functions.
