The RS-485 Interface
The read head is equipped with an RS-485 interface for communication purposes, i.e., param-
eterizing the read head functions or reading out current process data during operation. This
interface is operated in 8-E-1 mode and fitted with a terminator that can be activated or deacti-
vated by parameterizing the sensor head accordingly. The RS-485 interface supports the fol-
lowing transfer rates:
