Back Up/Restore by use of Data Backup Service

Back up and restore device data by use of the Data Backup Service.

Overview

This service is used only for the backup/restoration tasks associated with the replacement of the storage.
Using this service, you can:
• Store backup data in the cloud.
• Restoring backup data stored in the cloud during a storage replacement within Main machine.
This section describes how to back up and restore data.
NOTE:
For the procedures other than backup or restoration, refer to the User's Guide for the Data Backup Service. If the User's Guide is
not available, refer to the technical information issued by your sales company.
CAUTION:
Do NOT control/operate on any MEAP applications while backup/restoration is in progress.

Operation Procedure

■ Installation
Install the MEAP application that is required for the Data Backup Service.
There are following methods for installation.
• Installation from [Settings/Registrations]
• Installation from Service Mode
● Installation from [Settings/Registrations]
For the installation procedure from [Settings/Registrations], refer to the Data Backup Service User's Guide. If you cannot refer to
the User's Guide, refer to the technical information issued by your Headquarters.
● Installation from Service Mode
1. Press [Updater] in the service mode menu.
2. Press [Other Installations].
3. Press [Install Data Backup Service].
