Planning
For vibration loads > 4g, observe the following installation instructions:
• Use pan-head screws or blind rivets at least every 60 mm (12 mm pin spacing) to se-
cure the DIN-rail.
• Make the open conductor length between the strain relief mechanism and wire connec-
tion as short as possible.
• Use the
• Furthermore, if the PFC200 750-8202/040-00x, PFC200 750-8212/040-00x or PFC200
750-8216/040-000 is used, DIN-rails without an oblong hole must also be used. Alter-
natively, a material thickness of min. 1.5 mm/0.59" must be maintained.
• Furthermore, if the 750-364/040-010 and 750-750-365/040-010 couplers and the
PFC200 750-8206/040-00x and 750-821x/040-010 are used, DIN-rails without an ob-
long hole with a material thickness of min. 2.3 mm must also be used.

5.2.7 EMC Installation

Cable Routing
As a general rule, data and signal lines should be routed as far away as possible from ca-
bles carrying high currents and other sources of high electromagnetic emission (e.g., fre-
quency converters or drives) in order to minimize interference from the outset. Further-
more, the likelihood and severity of interference coupling also increases with the length of
the cables used. Therefore, the cables should be no longer than necessary. Interference
that still remains despite appropriate cable routing can be further reduced through
grounding and shielding.
Frame Setup
In the frame setup, the DIN-rail is screwed to the electrically conductive cabinet frame/
housing. The frame/housing must be grounded. The screw connection also establishes
the electrical connection. This grounds the DIN-rail.
Insulated Setup
An insulated setup is one in which there is no direct conductive connection between the
cabinet frame or machine parts and the DIN-rail. In this case, grounding must be estab-
lished via an electrical conductor in accordance with applicable national safety regula-
tions. The optimal setup is a metallic mounting plate that has a ground connection and an
electrically conductive connection to the DIN-rail.
The separate grounding of the DIN-rail can be easily established using the WAGO
ground terminal blocks:
