Controller Maintenance
Incorrect packaging
When sending hardware parts back to R&S DVS, incorrect packag-
ing, like too small boxes or missing padding may damage them.
Make sure that the box you pack the hardware part in con-
tains enough padding to secure it.
All steps are explained in the following.
Step 1: Removing the controller module
Heed the following descriptions to perform this:
Shut down the system as described in section "Shutting Down

the System" on page 4-4.
A successful shutdown of the system will be indicated by a switched off
status LED on the controller module (see section "Controller Module"
on page 2-10).
Unscrew the locking screws on the anchoring on each side of the

controller module, see figure below:
Usually it is possible to unscrew the locking screws with your finders,
without the necessity to use a screwdriver. It is generally recommended
to handle the locking screws manually as you could overtighten the
screw with a screwdriver.

This will make the anchoring protrude from the controller module and
you can cautiously pull it down as shown in the figure below:
