Table of Error Messages

Errors inside the device are stored in the error queue. It can be read out via an SCPI
command or via the set-up menu.
The messages have the following meanings:

Reason / Solution
There is no error.
SCPI error: An invalid character has been
detected. Check the command.
SCPI error: An invalid parameter has been
detected. Check the command.
SCPI error: An invalid command has been
detected.
Check the command.
SCPI error: An invalid character in a number
has been detected. Check the command.
SCPI error: An invalid character in the text
has been detected. Check the command.
SCPI error: Numerical value exceeds the al-
lowed limits.
Check the command.
SCPI error: Invalid parameter has been de-
tected. Check the command.
Error queue is full.
Output buffer for interface is too small.
Check the command.
Parameter memory data are inconsistent.
Check the parameter settings.
Calibration data of the measuring probe
cannot be queried by the device.
Re-connect the probe or try another probe.
Internal calibration data are inconsistent.
Switch the device off and on.
An internal error has occurred.
Switch the device off and on.
Character parity error on the serial interface
EIA-232.
Check the settings of the external controller
and of the device. Possibly, the transmission
path is disturbed.
Character frame error on the serial interface
EIA-232.
Check the settings of your controller and of
the device. Possibly, the transmission path is
disturbed.
Character overrun error on the serial inter-
face EIA-232.
If necessary, reduce the bit rate.
