Cause
The Num Lock key may be on.
Software volume control is
turned down in Microsoft
Sound System Control
Panel, or CD-ROM volume
control on the front or
back of the workstation is
turned down.

Solution
Press the Num Lock key. The
light should not be on if you
want to use the arrow keys.
Click Start , then select
Programs, Accessories,
Multimedia, Volume Control .
Turn the CD-ROM volume
control knob on front or back
of workstation to increase the
volume.
