Attention:

• Turn off the corresponding DWC tray that you are going to perform the task on.
• Disconnect all external cables from the enclosure.
• Use extra force to disconnect QSFP cables if they are connected to the solution.

Procedure
Step 1. Make preparations for this task.
a. Remove the tray from the enclosure. See
40.
b. Remove the tray cover. See
c. For shared I/O or socket direct configurations, disconnect the cable from the system board.
See Chapter 6 "Internal cable routing" on page
Step 2. Loosen the PCIe riser assembly.
a. Loosen the captive screw on the clamp bracket and remove it.
b. Loosen the screw on the front of the PCIe riser assembly
c. Loosen the captive screw on the rear of the PCIe riser assembly.
d. Remove the two long screws that secure the riser assembly.
