Automatic Configuration
The Agilent Wireless Solutions Software can automatically configure
hardware that has been connected to your laptop. By clicking the
Auto Config
button, you begin the automatic configuration wizard (see Figure 1-4 on
page 21). This wizard checks a defined list of COM ports for recognized
hardware. Once all ports have been checked, the attached hardware is
automatically set up with the correct settings.
The automatic configuration wizard can be used for setting up new hardware
and projects, or for updating previously saved configurations.
You can speed up the configuration process by selecting the types of hardware
to be attached to your system and the COM ports used. This limits the list of
hardware types and COM ports searched during configuration. To enable this
feature select

Tools > Options > Other >"Enable auto-config COM and device customization"

NOTE
If your receiver has internal GPS and you configure a project with automatic
configuration, the project is configured with the internal GPS. To run the
indoor application, you must replace internal GPS in the Hardware
Configuration with a computer pen. See in the
