Receiver Battery Use and Care
Battery Operation (86154A, option 500)
When the battery pack begins its charging cycle, the status LED flashes
yellow, then switches to solid yellow during the charge. When the battery
pack is fully charged, the status LED turns green. No LED indicates that there
is no battery installed, or that the battery is over voltage.
This is a Safety Class 1 product when the battery is being charged and is
provided with a protective earthing ground incorporated in the power cord. The
mains plug shall only be inserted in a socket outlet provided with a protective
earth contact. Any interruption of the protective conductor inside or outside of
the product is likely to make the product dangerous. Intentional interruption is
prohibited.
Continuing to charge the battery pack after the green status LED lights does
not damage the unit. It continues to charge in the trickle charge mode.
It takes four hours for an initial charge or to charge a fully depleted battery at
room temperature. Charging the battery at elevated temperatures increases the
charge time.
