The hardware security key must be connected to the PC. The
application runs with a limited feature set without the key. You
cannot configure projects or collect data without the key.
After all cables are connected, turn on the PC. The PC should
be the last device you turn on.
The Agilent Wireless Solutions system assigns the serial port of
the receiver to COM1 by default. If you want to use a different
port, modify the serial port setting for the receiver in the
application software as follows.
1 After starting the Agilent E74xx application software, click the
Configuration button.
2 Select the Hardware tab and highlight the Agilent E645x
receiver. Click the Modify button.
3 Set the desired COM port. It is recommended that you accept
the program defaults for other settings.
Cables can be damaged. Please handle them carefully.
Draws power from the USB port and does not require external
power (which can damage the unit).
As an alternative to the USB serial converter, you can use a dual
Socket I/O card to connect up to two phones or receivers to the
pen tablet.
