Connecting the Antenna (86154A, option 425)
Your indoor measurement system includes three antenna stubs, labeled with
green, orange, and yellow dots as follows.
GREEN dot:
824 - 894 Cellular band
1850 - 1990 PCS and 1900 GSM bands
832 - 925 JCDMA band
ORANGE dot: 880 - 960 GSM 900 band
1710 - 1880 DCS and Korean CDMA bands
YELLOW dot: 1920 - 2170 3GPP band
To Connect an Antenna
1. Remove the antenna cable from the ground plane (see
page
24), if it is attached..
2. If the antenna was not ordered with the backpack and/or the antenna cable
connector is not connected to the ground plane:
Place the O-ring beneath the flange-end connector and hold it on one
side of the ground plate.
Place the lock washer, then the nut, then the non-flange end connector
and hold it on the opposite side of the ground plate.
Screw the two together.
3. Remove the protective foam and the fabric antenna pocket from the
top-inside corner of the backpack, and open the flaps of the fabric
antenna enclosure.
4. Remove the fabric antenna enclosure from the top-inside of the backpack,
and open the flaps of the fabric antenna enclosure.
5. Slide the ground plate into the fabric enclosure, with the longer end of the
bulkhead connector facing outward, and refasten the velcro.
