TLS
Transport Layer Security (TLS) provides additional authentication and security
when you browse web pages. On the TLS screen, you can select Proxy TLS or
Handheld TLS.
Integration with

account
•
Proxy: If you select Proxy TLS, transport layer security is used only when the
BlackBerry Enterprise Server connects to the web server.
•
Handheld: If you select Handheld TLS, transport layer security is used for the
entire connection between your handheld and the web server.
Note: Network access is slower if you select Handheld TLS.
WAP Push
Depending on your Nextel service plan, you might be able to receive messages
and applications through the WAP Push feature. You can select how the handheld
processes these messages and applications by setting the following options:
Enable WAP Push: Select whether you want the WAP Push feature to operate on
your handheld.
Process Service Load: Select how handheld will processes Service Load (SL)
messages, such as web pages or applications. Select from the following options:
•
Select Auto if you want messages and applications to be displayed on the
Messages screen and to display a dialog box when they arrive at your
handheld, if the sender configures them to do so.
•
Select Prompt if you want messages and applications to be displayed on
the Messages screen and to always display a dialog box when they arrive
at your handheld, regardless of how the sender configures them.
•
Select Reject if you do not want to see any indication of messages and
applications when they arrive at your handheld.
Process Service Indication: Select how your handheld processes Service
Indication (SI) messages, such as URLs and email messages. Choose from Auto,
