Sequence of Operation
If is also possible, using ComSensorSpType(MSV16) to use a single setpoint control from the EC-
Smart-Vue and the graphical interface. When ComSensoSpType is equal to SingleSp, the setpoints
are calculated like this:
Single setpoint Mode1:
If SingleSPHeatDB (AV18) , SingleSPCoolDB (AV19) = 0 and ComSensorSpType (MSV16) = Sin-
gleSp
The effective heat/cool setpoints (AV50) for the occupied and standby modes are derived from Occ-
CoolSP (AV40) and OccHeatSP (AV41) plus the absolute setpoint offset, calculated as the difference
between SingleSP and the mean of the OccHeatSP (AV41) and OccCoolSP (AV40) setpoints :
abs_setpoint_offset = SingleSP - (OccHeatSP (AV41) + OccCoolSP (AV40))/2
OccupancyStatus = Occupied:
ActCoolSP (AV36) = OccCoolSP (AV40) + abs_setpoint_offset
ActHeatSP (AV37) = OccHeatSP (AV41) + abs_setpoint_offset
OccupancyStatus = Standby:
ActCoolSP (AV36) = StandbyCoolSP (AV39) + abs_setpoint_offset
ActHeatSP (AV37) = StandbyHeatSP (AV42) + abs_setpoint_offset
Unoccupied Mode (night setback):
ActCoolSP = UnoccCoolSP(AV38)
ActHeatSP = UnoccHeatSP(AV43)
Single setpoint Mode2:
If SingleSPHeatDB (AV18) < 0 or SingleSPCoolDB (AV19) > 0 and ComSensorSpType (MSV16) =
SingleSp
OccupancyStatus = Occupied:
OccHeatSP (AV41) = SingleSP (AV17) + SingleSPHeatDB (AV18)
OccCoolSP (AV40) = SingleSP (AV17) + SingleSPCoolDB (AV19)
OccupancyStatus = Standby:
abs_Stdby_setpoint_Offset = SingleSP – (StandbyCoolSP (AV39) + StandbyHeatSP (AV42))/2
ActCoolSP (AV36) = StandbyCoolSP (AV39) + abs_Stdby_setpoint_Offset
ActHeatSP (AV37) = StandbyHeatSP (AV42) + abs_Stdby_setpoint_Offset
Unoccupied Mode (night setback):
ActCoolSP = UnoccCoolSP(AV38)
ActHeatSP = UnoccHeatSP(AV43)
The effective setpoint EffectSp(AV50) is calculated based on the HvacModeStatus. When the Hvac-
ModeStatus is equal to Heat or MrngWrmUp, EffectSp is set to ActheatSP(AV37), in all other modes,
EffectSP is set to ActCoolSP(AV36).
HVAC Mode Management
The HvacModeStatus(MSV14) is calculated based on the value of HvacModeCmd (MSV2) and the
heating and cooling load.
If HvacModeCmd(MSV2) is set to Auto, the HvacModeStatus will be based on the heating and cooling
loads. When the cooling load is greather than 0, the system is set to Cool, when the heating load is
lower than 0, the system is set to Heat. If both the heating and cooling load are equal to 0, the Hvac-
ModeStatus is unchanged. A ChgOverDelay(AV46) prevents the HvacModeStatus from changing be-
tween cooling and heating too rapidly.
