TCC-100 Operating Instructions
Problem
The system has very high
backpressure.
Leaking at the eluent
preconditioner.
Impaired performance of the
eluent preconditioner.
The display is flashing
indicating 'Sen' and 'Err'
instead of the temperature.
The display is flashing
indicating 'Pel' and 'Err'
instead of the temperature.
Probable Cause
The column is contaminated or
blocked.
The capillaries are blocked or
damaged by bending.
The eluent preconditioner is
blocked.
The system has very high
backpressure.
The flow path is not correct.
The eluent preconditioner is not
installed correctly, i.e., the
thermal contact is imperfect.
The calibration of the column
compartment is incorrect.
The eluent preconditioner is
defective.
A temperature sensor is defective.
The Peltier elements are too hot.

Remedial Action
Rinse or replace the column.
Remove the blockage or replace
the capillaries.
Rinse both the capillary of the
eluent preconditioner and the
eluent preconditioner itself,
using an appropriate solvent. If
necessary, replace the eluent
preconditioner (→ section 3.6,
page 16).
Tighten the fittings on the eluent
preconditioner inlet and outlet.

Check and correct the flow path,
if necessary.
Reinstall the eluent
preconditioner (→ section 3.6,
page 16).

Replace the eluent
preconditioner (→ section 3.6,

Turn the instrument off and on
again. If the message appears
again, please contact your
Dionex Service representative.
