Use the belt tension gage to measure the belt
tension.
·Fan belt tension : 11.3 kg (25 lb)

Inspect the fan belt for damage.
Transverse (across the belt) cracks are accept-
able.
Longitudinal (direction of belt ribs) cracks that
intersect with transverse cracks are not accept-
able.
Replace the belt if it is frayed or has pieces of
material missing.
