3.21 How to Interpret the Display
This section describes how to interpret actual pictures using picture examples.
Zero line
The zero line shows the signals emitted from transducers and corresponds to the
transducer's position.
The line disappears from the screen when the range is shifted.

Bottom
The bottom is usually shown in reddish brown or red because of strong reflection signal
from the bottom. The display colors and the width change with the bottom conditions,
depth, fish finder frequency, pulse length and gain setting.
The "bottom condition" can be analyzed more clearly for operation by making good use
of changes in display colors and width of color pictures.
