Back up all server data.

a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
Do one of the following:

a. Extend the server from the rack.
b. Remove the server from the rack.
Remove the access panel.

Do one of the following:

• To install a controller in slot 1 of the primary riser:
a. Remove the primary PCI riser cage.
b. Install the controller.
• To install a controller in slot 2 of the primary riser:
a. Remove the primary PCI riser cage
b. Remove the slot 2 blank.
c. Using a Torx T-10 screwdriver, install the controller.
