Connection of motor temperature sensor to the drive via a relay

PTC (IEC 60800-5-1)

Class A. This table shows the insulation requirement for a customer's external relay,
and the insulation requirement for the sensor to fulfill decisive voltage class A (double
insulation).
Type
External relay
Class B. Decisive voltage class B (basic insulation) is provided with a 6 kV relay. Circuits
connected to all motor protection relay inputs and outputs must be protected against
direct contact.

Pt100 (IEC 90800-5-1)

Class B. Decisive voltage class B (basic insulation) can be achieved when there is basic
insulation between the sensor and live parts of the motor. Circuits connected to all motor
protection relay inputs and outputs must be protected against direct contact.
