Installation

Install Electrical Wiring
This appliance is equipped with decorative lighting
which is located on top of the fi rebox.
This section provides information to install the electric
wiring required to use the lighting as well as the option-
al 1495CFK Circulating Fan Kit or GV60WIFI WiFi module.
 WARNING
All electrical installations must be
performed by a qualified electrician and
must be electrically wired and grounded
in accordance with local codes or, in the
absence of local codes, with the National
Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70 or the
Canadian Electrical Code, CSA C22.1.
Electrical Requirements
Decorative Lighting—120 V, 2 x 35 W, less than 1 amp
1495CFK—120 V, 60 Hz, less than 1 amp
GV60WIFI—6 VDC (from receiver), less than 1 amp
General Requirements
The fi replace's decorative lighting is connected to the
V-module box supplied, located behind the appliance's
removable panel, below the window. The V-module is
powered by a three-prong plug plugged into a recep-
tacle inside the front lower left of the appliance case.
Both optional 1495CFK and GV60WIFI kits are also pow-
ered by the V-module.
Notes
• We recommend connecting the electrical box to oper-
ate the decorative lighting and optional accessories.
• Wiring within the receptacle enclosure must have a
minimum 90°C temperature range.
• Wire nuts not included.
• The junction box, receptacle and V-module are pro-
vided with the H6 fi replace.
• To install optional 1495CFK and GV60WIFI kits, refer to
the kits' installation manual.
 WARNING
NO ELECTRICAL CONNECTION ALLOWED
for any outdoor installation!
Connect Junction Box to Power
Before framing in, the junction box can be accessed
from the outer left side of the appliance.
1. Locate and remove the electrical box access plate
(2 screws).

2. Thread the electrical wire through the wire clamp.
Do not tighen the wire clamp just yet to allow for
wire adjustment.
3. Connect the corresponding wires from the junction
box and cap them with wire nuts.
4. Tuck the wires inside the junction box.
5. Reinstall the electrical box access plate pulling out
through the wire clamp any excess wires (2 screws).
6. Tighten the wire clamp.
If necessary, the junction box can be accessed by
removing a screw from inside the appliance.
