To avoid a bolus infusion
after an occlusion,refer to
page 126.
Troubleshooting
Cause/
Remedy
1. Press [SILENCE] to
quiet the alarm for 1
minute.
2. Press [STOP] to place
the pump in the stop
mode.
3. Check for sources of
distal occlusion:
Þ Kinked tubing below
the pump
Þ Clamped patient-
access device
Þ Clogged I.V. filter
Þ Other obstructions
4. If the problem persists,
remove and reinstall
the cassette. Refer to
Loading the Cassette in
the "System Setup"
section.
5. Press [START] to begin
delivery.
