The different chassis models support the following hot-plug drive types:

Low profile LFF SATA or SAS drives

SFF SATA or SAS drives (using the Smart Carrier

NVMe SSDs (using the Smart Carrier NVMe)
The embedded HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 Controller supports SATA drive installation. For SAS support, install a
Smart Array Gen10 type-p controller option.
