Overview

1.2.6.4 Auto-eject function

This function can unload all cartridges already loaded in the drive when the library is
turned on (*1).
*1 It is necessary to "enable" the auto-eject function on the operator panel.

Remote panel function

This function can monitor the library and drive information via LAN from the general
browser (such as Internet Explorer and Netscape) using the remote communication
function of the library. It can also be used to set the operations and functions of the
library and drive and to perform the cleaning function of the drive.
The remote panel is protected by the login password so that unauthorized access to it can
be prevented. General passwords and administrator passwords are available.

Data loss: Do not perform this operation when the host accesses
the drive normally. Otherwise, an error may occur in the drive path.
During automatic unloading by the library, an inconsistency in the
cartridge management information may be detected, depending on the
backup software.
If that type of backup software is used, perform the inventory
operation of the backup software and update the management
information of cartridge after "disabling" the auto-eject setting.
Login using a general password
It is allowed to monitor the states of the library, drive, and tape and to reference the
setup information.
Login using an administrator password
In addition to the functions logged in with a general password, operations such as the
operation settings, functional settings, and cleaning can be performed.
