Checking the Host Settings

(1) Installing the backup software and driver (if necessary)
Install the host driver, backup software, and host bus adapter card, and then make their
settings (if they have not been set).
(2) Checking the installation
To check the installation, turn on the host and then search for the library and drive.

Perform backup on a trial basis to make sure that all the components are correctly set up.

For Windows NT, select [Settings], [Control Panel], and finally [SCSI adapter].
For Sun Solaris, check the installation by seeing the message on the FC host bus
adapter driver that is output to the OS startup log (such as /var/adm/messages)
specified in the /etc/syslog.conf file or using the utility commands provided with the
FC host bus adapter.

Library Setup Guide" provided with the library or the host bus
adapter manual.
