Site Preparation

Learn about site preparation requirements for the Oracle Database Appliance before
installing it into a rack and cabling it.

Ensure that your site meets the environmental requirements in

Ensure that your site meets the electrical specifications in

Ensure that your site has adequate clearance for the shipping containers.

Allow the equipment to acclimatize to the computer center environment.
4.
If significant temperature differences exist (> 10° C / 18° F) between the new system and
the designated computer center, the equipment should be left in its boxes for a sufficient
period of time to allow the temperature of the equipment to come to within a few degrees
of the computer center.
Open the shipping containers.

You should do this at the location where the system will be installed, but outside of the
computer center itself.
Check the contents of the shipping container.

Caution:
Equipment damage. The system should never be powered on unless it is
within the supported operating range (temperature and humidity).

material to reduce particle contamination before entering the computer center.
