Pneumatic - Dual Line Air Brake System

The sprayer has a pneumatic dual line air brake system, the brake system requires a tractor with an air compressor and
outlets for a supply line and a control line.
DANGER! A trailer rolling away, can cause serious damage and fatal injuries. Secure the trailer against rolling away
when hitching and unhitching.
±
WARNING! To prevent the trailer from rolling away when hitching and unhitching, follow the sequence below.
Hitching the Trailer - Connecting the Air Hoses
1. Turn the dust cover on the hose coupling head away from the interface.
2. Connect the air hose coupling for the control line (yellow dust cover) to the corresponding outlet on the tractor.
3. Connect the supply line (red dust cover) to the corresponding outlet on the tractor.
When the supply line is connected correctly, the black button (A) pops out automatically (traveling mode), and thereby
have no other function while connected to the tractors air supply.
4. Let the air supply from the tractor, fill the air tanks on the sprayer.
5. Check the supply and brake circuit for leaks.
Manual Load Apportioning Valve
Prior to driving, it is important to set this valve accordingly to the actual
load on the sprayer:
Position
Tank State
Use
1
Empty
Use when road driving with empty tank.
2
Half full*
Use when road driving with tank half full.
3
Full
Use when road driving with full tank.
*If axle load exceeds 5250 kg, position 3 is required to be used.
μ
ATTENTION! The load apportioning valve must be set at the
position corresponding to the load on the trailer for obtaining
optimal air pressure to the trailer brakes.
±
WARNING! Driving with a wrong setting for the load apportioning valve will result in excessive or insufficient braking,
which can cause hazardous situations.
Automatic Load Apportioning Valve (optional)
This valve does the above settings automatically. No user settings
necessary.
Unhitching the Trailer - Disconnecting the Air Hoses
1. Disconnect the air hose coupling for the supply line (red dust cover) from the tractor.
2. Disconnect the control line (yellow dust cover) from the tractor.
When the supply line has been disconnected from the tractor, the black button (A) can be in both positions.
3. Turn the dust cover back over the interface to cover the inlet on the coupling head.
4. Place the air hoses on the hose package support bracket.
