Alignment of Inner and Outer Wings

Unfold the boom and check that the boom wings are aligned. If
adjustment is necessary:
1. SPB boom type: Remove the stop device (A) from the inner wing.
SPC boom type: Loosen the stop device (A).
2. Adjust the position of the adjusting bolt (B) on the inner wing, so
that the cap of the bolt head (B) contacts the top stop plate on
outer wing, when inner and outer wings are aligned.
3. Tighten the adjusting bolt (A) in this position.
4. SPB boom type: Refit the stop device (A) again.
SPC boom type: Tighten stop device (A) again.
SPB Boom Only
Please note that the rubber stop (= stop device (A)) should be
compressed 3-5 mm. Therefore, check that the distance between the
tabs (C) is a little less than the length of the rubber stop itself.
The rubber stop may need to be spaced out with one or more flat
washers in order to obtain correct compression. Tighten the nut to hold
it in place.

Check/Adjust Sprocket Timing (SPB only)

1. Unfold the boom and stand on its rear side.
2. Check that the pin (A) in the timing chain link aligns with the
centreline (B) through the sprocket.
Note the forward driving direction (C) as adjustment is done at the
rear side of the boom. The pin (A) is the 7th pin on the chain.
3. Loosen the counternuts on the turnbuckles.
4. To adjust the timing, turn the turnbuckles on the front and rear
cables while counting number of rotations, as in the example:
A. Loosen the front turnbuckle 1 complete turn.
B. Tighten the rear turnbuckle 1 complete turn.
4. Check that the pin (A) and sprocket lines up as indicated in step 2
above, else continue step 3.
5. When pin (A) and the sprocket aligns, then tighten the
counternuts at the turnbuckles.
