Procedure for Altering the Track Width

It is possible to alter the sprayer track width in steps.
1. Measure the current track width from centre of the right tyre to
centre of the left tyre. You must extend or retract each side half the
desired alteration.
2. Connect the sprayer to the tractor and engage the tractor parking
brake.
3. Place stop wedges in front of and behind the right wheel. Jack up
the left wheel and support with trestles.
4. Loosen the lock nuts and the bolts (A) for left wheel axle.
5. If a manual handbrake is installed, loosen the pointed screw (B) on
the brake operating arm.
6. Extend or retract the axle. A sack barrow and a rod will facilitate the
operation. Place it in order to support the axle.
7. Let the wheel hang freely.
8. Tighten the clamp bolts (A) with a torque of 250 Nm and tighten
the counter nuts.
9. Lower the left wheel to the ground.
10. Repeat the procedure on the right wheel.
11. Check if the distance from centre tyre to centre of rear frame is
equal at the right and left side.
12. Retighten bolts and wheel bolts to the specified torque after 8 working hours.
μ
ATTENTION! The wider the track width, the better the stability of the sprayer. Use the widest possible track width.
÷
NOTE! Depending on the configuration of the sprayer, the track width can be altered in the range from 1500 mm to
2000 mm (narrow version), or from 1800 mm to 2250 mm (wide version), in combination of above adjustments and
turning of the rims (offset).
How to Find the Limits
• The two wheel axles will meet in centre (C) when pushed this way,
resulting in the minimum track width.
• Pulling out the axles allowed as long that the bolts (D) are fully
touching the axles when being tightened. By having both axles
ending on the line (E), this will result in the maximum track width.
DANGER! The axle is not secure, if the bolts (D) do not clearly
touch the axle when being tightened. Risk of the sprayer
breaking apart when driving. Risk of fatal accidents.
