Command
Description
OPEN
Establishes a connection with
the host computer.
PUT
Copies a file from the reader to
the host computer.
RUPGRADE
Upgrades the reader's drive C
from the host. Stands for
"remote upgrade."
SERVER
Identifies the reader as the
server, not the client. You will
type all subsequent FTA
commands at the host.

Syntax
o [ port ]
where:
port
can be the COM port for the connection. If
you do not specify a port, the application
uses the first port with an active protocol
handler. Once a connection is open, you can

type other FTA commands or type
to exit.
p rfile [ hfile ]
where:
rfile
is the path and filename of the file to be
transferred from the reader to the host.
hfile
can be the destination path and filename
on the host. If you do not specify a hfile
name, the rfile name is used.
r file c
where:
file
is the path and filename of the image file on
the host computer, and C is the drive to be
upgraded.
s [ port ]
where:
port
is the COM port for the connection. If you do
not specify a port, the application uses the
first port with an active protocol handler.
