7. MAINTENANCE

This chapter describes the ordinary maintenance operations that are required to
maintain Isokinetic Line Devices in optimal operating conditions.
Some mechanical parts (cable of the drive system, levers) tend to get moderately worn
over time and should therefore be periodically (annually) inspected by the Technical
Support.
The user is not expected to open any of the device covers for maintenance operations.

7.1 CLEANING THE EXTERNAL SURFACES

Switch the device off by pressing the button in the rear section.
Disconnect the 220 V supply plug from the wall socket in the room. After performing
this operation, also inspect the cable (see paragraph 2.3).
The seat and base of the device can be cleaned with a cloth dampened in water or
another not aggressive detergent/disinfectant, provided that no liquid is actually
spilled on these parts during cleaning.
Avoid spraying liquids especially on the guards of the device that do not have a
specific protection.
Do not use solvents or the other abrasive solutions.
Do not use heat/pressure sterilization systems.

7.2 PERIODICAL INSPECTION AND LIFE OF THE DEVICE

As suggested in the safety requirements, it is very important to perform a few
visual/tactile checks every time the device is used in order to make sure its operative
conditions are safe and that there are no visible damages.
Check that the power cord is in good condition and has not been bent or crashed and
that its external insulation is not damage otherwise replace it with an identical one
(see chapter 2.2).
Check the correct operation of the emergency stop button and the power switch.
Some mechanical parts (cables of the transmission system, levers, belts, safety
covers, adjustment knobs etc.) are subject to a slight wear. Therefore, it is advisable
to have them regularly inspected (once a year) by the technical support.
In the event that some of these components are damaged, contact the Easytech
assistance service and do not use the device before the replacement of the damaged
component by Easytech or by an authorized service center.
Easytech guarantees the maintenance of the device for 5 years after its sale (law
provision).
