5.4 ECCENTRIC EXERCISE

By selecting the "ECCENTRIC EXERCISE" from the main page, the following window will
open:
In the opening screen of the page setting exercise has already identified the patient and
the operator can choose, by pressing the virtual keys
Type of Exercise (individual, series, test)
Type of Motion (EXC-extensors+flexors, Extensors-CONC+EXC, Flexors EXC+CONC)
Joint to be treated (GENU: Ginocchio)
There are 3 types of eccentric exercise:
Pure eccentric exercise (symmetric) in which both the flexor muscles, and the
extensors work in eccentric mode, respectively, in flexion and extension
movements.
Exercise only extensor muscles (asymmetric) in which the patient works with the
extensor muscles during the extension movement (concentric) and continues to
work with the extensor muscles during the flexion (eccentric)
Exercise only flexor muscles (asymmetric) in which the patient works with the flexor
muscles during the extension movement (eccentric) and continues to work with the
flexor muscles during the flexion (concentric)

5.4.1 Single exercise parameter settings

The selection of the limb also involves the change in all the information appearing on
the screen and on printouts and which are relative to the titles of the movements and
the muscles involved. So if the selected limb is the knee it is called the flexion and
extension.
