10) Drill both holes that have been burned out up to the marked contour using a 726W9=*
Tapered Cutter (see Fig. 12).
11) Cut the contour free. Check the contour using the charging receptacle template. The tem
plate should fit the cutout without play (see Fig. 13).
12) Perform a final check of the cutout using the charging receptacle. For this purpose, push the
charging receptacle out through the cutout from the inside of the socket (see Fig. 14).
13) Insert the charging receptacle into the cutout. The charging receptacle must fit flush to the
outside of the socket without pressure being applied (see Fig. 15).
14) If the outer socket has a wall thickness of more than 2 mm, it will not be possible to push the
charging receptacle in. The inside of the socket must be sanded in the area of the flat ribbon
cable of the charging receptacle (see Fig. 16).
INFORMATION: For demonstration purposes, the socket is displayed cut open.
15) Example of a charging receptacle that has been positioned correctly in the outer socket (see
Fig. 17).
INFORMATION: For demonstration purposes, the socket is displayed cut open.
16) Apply 617H46 Bonding Agent to the small rim of the charging receptacle. The bonding agent
will make the charging receptacle stick to the outer socket (see Fig. 18).
17) Insert the charging receptacle into the outer socket. Fix the charging receptacle to the socket
with adhesive tape and let the bonding agent cure (see Fig. 19).
INFORMATION: Please observe the cure time of the bonding agent.
18) Fix the batteries and electronics to the inside of the outer socket (e.g. with double-sided tape)
and insert the inner socket. The inner socket will fix the batteries and electronics in the trough
of the outer socket (see Fig. 20).
INFORMATION: For demonstration purposes, the socket is displayed cut open.
8 Use/Operation
INFORMATION
Before switching on the MyoEnergy Integral for the first time, fully charge it using the 757L35
MyoCharge Integral.
8.1 Charging the Battery
Connect the charging plug to the charging receptacle. The beeper will emit one long tone. The
prosthesis is turned off and charging starts automatically.
INFORMATION
If you want to use the prosthesis, you have to remove the charging plug and turn the prosthesis
on again.
8.2 Switching On and Off
The prosthesis is switched on or off by pushing the button on the charging receptacle (see Fig. 3,
arrow). This requires pressing the button for more than 1 second.
Two short beeps are heard and the LED is briefly illuminated when the system powers up. Differ
ent colours indicate the current battery charge level. See also the section "Beeper Functions".
Switching off is confirmed by 1 long beep. The LED does not light up.
8.3 Query Battery Charge Level
The battery charge level can be displayed at any time whilst the prosthesis is turned on. In order
to do so, press the charging receptacle button (see Fig. 3, arrow) for less than 1 second. The
LED is illuminated. The colour of the LED (see table) indicates the current battery charge level.
