Stator winding - check the short circuit to ground {terminal 31)
Measure the resistance between the specified points.

If the displayed value does meet specifications:
Change the stator.

The alternator cover has been removed.
Remove screws
Remove the retaining bracket.
Remove screws
Remove rubber grommet
Remove the stator from the alternator cover.

Position the stator in the alternator cover.
Mount and tighten screws
