Changing the connecting rod, conrod bearing, and crank pin

After replacing the crankshaft bearings, the crankshaft
end play must be measured.
Finishing work

Measure the crankshaft end play.
Main work
-
Position the crankshaft with special tool
I Separator plate (79429009000)
-
Press the crank pin out of the upper crankweb with special
tool@.
I Crankshaft pressing tool (75029047000)

Hold the lower crankweb.

Remove the connecting rod and bearing.

Press crank pin out of the lower crankweb.
-
Place the crankweb onto special tool
Insert for crankshaft pressing tool (79429008000)

The special tool must be positioned with the flat sur­
face facing downward.

Press in new crank pin

✓ Oil channel is aligned with oil channel Cs).
X If the oil channels are not correctly aligned, the conrod
bearing will not be supplied with oil.

Blow compressed air through the oil channels to check that
they are clear.
