Saving the Running Configuration Settings to NVRAM

To save the running configuration settings to NVRAM, enter the following command at the
privileged EXEC mode prompt (
Router# copy running-config startup-config
As an alternative, you can also use the following command to save the running
configuration settings:
Router# write memory
Either command saves to NVRAM the configuration settings that you created while in the
global configuration mode.
If you fail to take this step, your configuration settings will be lost the next time you reload
the system.
