MACHINE OPERATIONS AND CONTROLS

Moving Machine Backward

1. Set lock lever (4) in the FREE position (F), fold the work
equipment, and raise it 40 to 50 cm from the ground.

If the work equipment blocks the view and it is difficult
to travel in safety, raise the work equipment to a
greater height.
2. Operate the right and left travel levers (5), or the right or left travel pedals (6) as follows:

When sprocket (A) is at the rear of the machine:
Slowly pull the levers (5) backward, or slowly depress the
rear part of the pedals (6) to move the machine backward.
q
When sprocket (A) is at the front of the machine:
Slowly push the levers (5) forward, or slowly depress the
front part of the pedals (6) to move the machine backward.
3. Check that the travel alarm sounds properly. If the travel alarm does not sound, please contact your Komatsu
distributor for repair.
REMARK
In cold temperatures, if the machine travel speed is not normal, thoroughly perform the warming-up operation.
In addition, if the undercarriage is clogged with mud and the machine travel speed is not normal, remove the soil
and mud from the undercarriage.
