6.5.14.5 Charging the on-board computer
battery
Notice
The on-board computer battery discharges when
it is not in use. This can cause irreparable
damage to the on-board computer battery.
 Recharge the on-board computer battery for at
least 1 hour every 3 months.
If the on-board computer battery is low when the
on-board computer is switched, A TT AC H T O
P E D EL EC appears on the text display for three
seconds. The on-board computer will then switch
back off.
There are two options for charging the battery.
Charging on the pedelec
1 Once a battery has been inserted into the
pedelec, place the on-board computer in the on-
board computer mount. Press the battery On-Off
button.
2 Using the pedelec
Charging using the USB port
1 Open the protective flap on the USB port.
2 Connect the USB port to a commercially
available USB charger or the USB port on a
computer (5 V charge voltage; max. 500 mA
charging current), using a suitable USB cable.

6.5.14.6 Changing the system settings

The System settings can be displayed and
changed no matter whether the on-board
computer is inserted in the mount or not. A few
settings are only visible and changeable if the on-
board computer is inserted. A few menu options
may be missing, depending on the equipment
used.
 Press the Info button (on-board computer)
and the RESET button together.
 S E TT I NG S is displayed on the on-board
computer. The System settings is opened.
 Press the info button (on-board computer)
repeatedly until the system setting which you
wish to change is displayed.
 Press the plus button or the minus button to
change the displayed setting.
 Press and hold the RESET button for
3 seconds to save the changed system
settings and return to the journey information.

The current time can be adjusted.
If you hold the setting button
down, you can change the time
more quickly.

The value pre-set by the manufac-
turer can be changed by ± 5%.
This menu option is only shown
when the display is positioned in
its mount.
You can change the language for
- E N G L I S H +
text messages. You can choose
between English, German,
French, Dutch, Spanish, Danish,
Swedish, Italian and Portuguese.
- U N I T K M / M I +
You can choose whether the
speed and distance are displayed
in kilometres or miles.
You can display the time in 12-
- T I M E F O R M A T +
hour clock or 24-hour clock
format.
You can turn the gear recommen-
- S H I F T R E C O M . O F F +
dation indicator on or off.
