Pannier rack

1 Dry pannier rack with a cloth.
2 Spray pannier rack with spray wax and leave to
dry.
3 Wipe pannier rack with a cloth.
4 Protect chafing points on panniers with
adhesive film. Replace worn adhesive film.
5 Care for coil springs with silicone spray or wax
spray from time to time.

Mudguard

 Depending on the requirements for the
material in the mudguard, apply hard wax
polish, metal polish or a plastic care product as
per the product instructions.

Servicing the kickstand

1 Dry kickstand with a cloth.
2 Spray kickstand rack with spray wax and leave
to dry.
3 Wipe down kickstand with a cloth.
4 Lubricate the kickstand joints with spray oil.

Stem

1 Spray painted and polished metal surfaces
with wax spray and leave to dry.
2 Wipe away any wax residue with a cloth.
3 Apply silicone or Teflon oil to the stem shaft
tube and the quick release lever pivot point
with a cloth.

Cleaning, servicing and inspection
4 If you have a Speedlifter Twist, also apply oil to
the unlocking bolt groove in the Speedlifter
body.
5 Apply a little acid-free lubricant grease
between the stem quick release lever and the
sliding piece to reduce the quick release lever
operating force.
6 If you have a stem with a cone clamp, apply a
new protective layer of assembly paste onto
the stem and fork steerer contact point once a
year.

Handlebars

1 Spray painted and polished metal surfaces
with wax spray and leave to dry.
2 Wipe away any wax residue with a cloth.

Handle

7.4.8.1 Rubber handles

1 Apply talcum powder to sticky rubber handles.
Notice
 Never apply talcum powder to leather or foam
handles.

7.4.8.2 Leather handle

Standard leather care products keep leather
smooth and resistant, brighten its appearance and
improve or replace stain protection.
1 Try leather care product out on a less visible
spot before use.
2 Care for leather handles with a leather care
product.
