Commissioning

Only trained specialist staff may perform initial
commissioning since initial commissioning of the
pedelec requires special tools and specialist
knowledge.
Experience has shown that a pedelec which has
not yet been sold is automatically handed to
customers as soon as it appears ready to ride.
 It makes sense to prepare each pedelec so that
it is fully ready for use immediately after being
assembled.
 The assembly report (see Section 11.2)
describes all safety-relevant inspections, tests
and maintenance tasks.
 All assembly work must be completed to
ensure the pedelec is ready to ride.
 Complete an assembly report to document
quality assurance (see Section 11.1).

Checking the battery

The battery must be checked before it is charged
for the first time.
 Press the On-Off button (battery).
 If none of the LEDs on the battery level
indicator light up, the battery may be
damaged.
 The battery may be fully charged if at least one,
but not all, of the LEDs on the battery level
indicator lights up.
