Reset Device
This option allows the user to reset the connected device.
From the Device drop-down list (see
Device.... The Reset Device dialog box opens (see figure 25).

To reset the device click the Reset button (
Confirmation window is shown.
Clicking the Cancel button closes the dialog box without resetting the device.
Backup
This menu option allows the user to save all audio and video settings from a DSC 301 HD
to a connected PC. This exported configuration is saved as a backup which can later be
restored to a single connected device if desired.
To backup a configuration:
Select Backup... from the Device drop-down list (see

2. In the window, browse to a location on the connected PC in which to save

the configuration. Alternatively, allow the device to save the file to the default folder.
3. Rename the file as desired, and click Save (
The file is saved with a .extz extension.
NOTE: The default name includes the model, current date, and time as the file
name.
The window closes after saving and a confirmation pop-up is shown briefly to indicate
the save has been successful.
