Multi Edit Mode
CONTROLS Page
When the Position Mode parameter is set to Absolute, the zero point for the Ribbon stays
in the same physical location on the ribbon. By default this is the center of the Ribbon,
although you can use the Center parameter to move the zero point. In Absolute mode, just
touching the Ribbon affects the sound (unless you touch it at exactly the zero point). Every
movement you make along the Ribbon sends control values based on how far you are from
the zero point.
Spring
When the Controller parameter is set to Ribbon, the Spring parameter appears.
When Spring is On, the Ribbon value "springs" back to its zero point automatically when
you lift your finger off the ribbon.
When Spring is Off, the Ribbon value remains at its current value when you lift your finger
off the Ribbon.
Center
When the Controller parameter is set to Ribbon, the Center parameter appears.
The Center parameter defines the center point for the Ribbon (or for each section on the
Ribbon). The center point should typically match the Entry value, as the Ribbon will return
to the center point after use when the Spring parameter is set to On. When the Spring
parameter is set to Off, the Center parameter has no effect.
Center values of 0, 64 and 127 will place the center point at the left side, center, or right side
of the ribbon (or each third of the ribbon when the Configuration parameter is set to Three
Sections).
