Always fit child restraint systems properly,
even if they are not being used. Make sure
that you observe the child restraint system
manufacturer's installation instructions.
G
WARNING
Child restraint systems or their securing sys-
tems that have been damaged or subjected to
a load in an accident cannot perform their
intended protective function. In the event of
an accident, sharp braking or a sudden
change in direction, the child may not be held
securely. There is an increased risk of serious
or even fatal injuries.
Immediately replace child restraint systems
that have been damaged or subjected to a
load in an accident. Have the child restraint
securing systems checked in a qualified spe-
cialist workshop before fitting a child restraint
system again.
i
Use the care products approved by
Mercedes-Benz to clean the child restraint
systems recommended by Mercedes-Benz.

The following child restraint systems can be

R
accordance with UN-R129.
ISOFIX child restraint systems approved in

G
WARNING
For ISOFIX or i‑Size child restraint systems,
where the child is secured using the integra-
ted seat belt of the child restraint system, the
permissible gross weight of the child and the
child restraint system is 33 kg.
If the child together with the child restraint
system weighs more than 33 kg, ISOFIX or
i‑Size child restraint systems with integrated
seat belt no longer offer sufficient protection.
ISOFIX or i‑Size child seat securing systems
may be overloaded and will not be able to
restrain the child, for example, in the event of
an accident. This poses an increased risk of
injury or even fatal injury.
If the child together with the child restraint
system weighs more than 33 kg , only use
ISOFIX or i-Size child restraint systems with
which the child is secured with the vehicle
seat belt. Also secure the child restraint sys-
tem with the Top Tether belt, if available.
Always observe the information on the weight
R
of the child restraint system:
in the installation and operating instruc-
-
tions provided by the manufacturer for the
child restraint system being used
on the label of the child restraint system, if
-
present
Regularly check that the maximum permissi-
ble weight of the child and child restraint sys-
tem together is still complied with.
Always observe the notes on using the child
restraint system as well as the installation and
operating instructions provided by the manu-
facturer for the child restraint system being
used.
