At least one of the following driving systems or driving safety systems
is temporarily restricted or inoperative:
Brake Assist (BAS)

Possible causes:
the sensors in the radiator trim and/or in the bumpers are dirty.
R
the function of the driving system and/or driving safety system is
R
impaired due to heavy rain or snow.
Once the causes listed above no longer apply, the display message
goes out and the driving systems/driving safety systems are opera-
tional again.
If the display message does not disappear:
pull over and stop the vehicle, in accordance with the traffic con-
X
ditions.
secure the vehicle against rolling away (
X
switch off the engine.
X
clean the sensors (
X
Clean the sensors in the following locations:
in the radiator trim
R
in the front bumper
R
in the rear bumper
R
While depressing the accelerator pedal (kickdown), the speed limiter
cannot be activated..
If conditions permit, drive faster than 30 km/h and store the speed.

You are depressing the accelerator pedal. Whilst you are accelerating,
the speed limiter does not control the speed.
Release the accelerator pedal. The speed limiter is reactivated and

limits the speed.
Assist Lane Keeping Assist is faulty.
Consult a qualified specialist workshop.
