Ending an unintentional emergency call

Data transfer to the Mercedes-Benz
emergency call system
The following data is transmitted to the
Mercedes-Benz emergency call centre:
the vehicle's GPS position data

the GPS position data of the route (a few

hundred metres before the incident)
direction of travel
R
vehicle identification number
R
the drive type of the vehicle
R
whether Mercedes me connect is installed or
R
not
emergency call triggered manually or auto-
R
matically
the time of the accident
R
the language setting in the multimedia sys-
R
tem
For accident clarification purposes, the follow-
ing measures can be taken up to an hour after
the emergency call has been triggered:
the current position of the vehicle can be
R
called up.
a voice connection can be established to the
R
vehicle occupants.

WARNING
If you operate information and communica-
tion equipment integrated in the vehicle when
driving, you could be distracted from the traf-
fic situation. This could also cause you to lose
control of the vehicle. There is a risk of an
accident.
Only operate this equipment when the traffic
situation permits. If you cannot be sure of this,
stop the vehicle paying attention to road and
traffic conditions and operate the equipment
with the vehicle stationary.
When operating the multimedia system, you
must observe the legal requirements of the
country you are currently in.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, there are
the following options for establishing an Internet
connection:

The Internet connection can be restricted or
may not function in the following cases:
the mobile phone is switched off.
