Cleaning the touch-sensitive control panel (touchscreen)

9.1
Cleaning the touch-sensitive control panel (touchscreen)
CAUTION!
To clean the touch-sensitive control panel, it is recommended to use a
microfibre cloth.
– Do not use any unsuitable cleaning agents to avoid damaging the surface
of the control panel.
– When cleaning, do not apply too much pressure to the control panel in
order to avoid damaging the pressure sensor.
– Never clean the control panel by spitting on it and then rubbing it.
This will cause a smeared film to form on the control panel, which will have
to be cleaned again.
– Never use aggressive or scouring techniques or detergents.
– Never use products which contain ammonia.
Ammonia can damage the control panel.
– Do not spray liquids or water directly onto the control panel. Otherwise,
there is a risk of ingress and damage inside the device. Spray the liquid
onto the microfibre cloth instead and squeeze it out in order to remove all
excess liquid before it is used for cleaning.
– Never use paper towels or tissue paper.
They contain wood fibres which can scratch the plastic surface. Scratches
will possibly not be visible initially, but the surface will appear matt and
blurred over time.
The procedure for cleaning is as follows:
1.
Switch off the control before commencing cleaning.
Dirt is easier to see when the device is switched off, and it avoids unintentional
settings as a result of the cleaning action.
2.
Do not use any circular movements to rub the control panel with the microfibre cloth.
You should be able to remove basic dirt this way.
3.
If tough stains cannot be removed, dampen a cotton cloth using distilled water and
also repeat the cleaning process using small circular movements.
4.
Finally, rub it once again with the microfibre cloth until no visible dirt remains.
ENVIRONMENT!
Risk of environmental damage due to incorrect disposal!
Incorrect disposal can be a threat to the environment.
Detergents and accessories (brushes, cloths, etc.) must be disposed of in
compliance with local regulations and with due regard for the information
displayed on cleaning containers and on the safety data sheets from the
manufacturer.
